Have you ever wondered how astronauts cook in space? They don't! Astronauts eat a special kind of food that has been freeze dried, removing all of the moisture that makes our regular foods, food. Weird, right?
Freeze drying their food not only helps to save space in their ships, but also helps minimize the weight, which is very important for rockets to launch correctly. While freeze dried "space food", may sound odd, it still packs a lot of flavor! One of our favorite space foods is ice cream! Space ice cream has a crunchy texture, and a very light and airy feel to it. If you haven't tried any yet, I highly suggest getting your hands on some!
This sensory bin allows children to decorate their own ice cream. What you will need:
A shallow bin
Shredded paper (any color)
