Dinosaurs, dinosaurs, and more dinosaurs! Dinosaurs may have lived billions of years ago, but we are still learning so much about them every day! January has been filled with fun dinosaur facts, activities, and sensory fun.
It is believed that dinosaurs were hatched from eggs like other reptiles. This week we are learning all about dinosaur body parts. From the egg to the head, to the body, to the tail and feet, dinosaurs are made up of many different parts. This sensory bin incorporates the dinosaur egg!
Hatch your own dinosaurs with this super fun yet simple sensory bin. All you need is kinetic sand, plastic eggs, and mini dinosaurs. Kids will get to experience several textures including the cool, squishy, semi sticky texture of the kinetic sand and the hard smoothness of the eggs. Your little one will have the opportunity to work on fine motor skills while opening and closing the eggs and as well as working on object permanence with the dinosaurs being in and out of the egg.
This sensory bin is also great for children working to identify colors or count, as they could do so as they hatch each egg. This bin can be made with different colors of sand and dinosaurs.
