It's summer in Missouri, and it is HOT outside! Here are some fun indoor activities to beat the heat this summer!
Indoor Camping: If it’s just too hot outside to enjoy a family camping trip, why not have one in the living room? Move around the furniture and set up a tent where the whole family can relax. Stuff your tent full of blankets, pillows, and good books. Enjoy a picnic or a favorite movie in the tent before kicking off the family slumber party!
Glow in the Dark Bath: Fill the bath with refreshingly cool water, turn off all the lights, and drop a couple fistfuls of glow sticks into the water. The water will light up in different colors, giving off a gorgeous light show. Your little one will have so much fun while cooling off!!
Sticker Art: Provide a variety of stickers and a large piece of paper. Let your child create their own sticker masterpiece, practicing fine motor skills and creativity.
Indoor Obstacle Course: Use different objects from around the house including pillows, blankets and furniture. Have your child run, crawl, and hop over and under the objects.
Painting With Water: Give your child a cup of water and a paint brush to "paint" designs on different surfaces such as construction paper or tissue paper. This is a fun and mess free way to paint and get creative!
